Time for some new music.
Parade are a five-piece girl band that you may be familiar with if you have recently seen Shakira or Alexandra Burke on tour; they recently supported Shakira on the UK leg of her tour and they are currently supporting Alexandra Burke on her 28-date UK tour.
‘Louder’ is the lead single from Parade’s as of yet untitled debut album and was written for the band by a collaboration of the hot new British producers The Fairground (Jay Sean, Alesha Dixon) and 2010 Grammy Award Song of the Year winner Thaddis ‘Kuk’ Harrell (‘Single Ladies’, ‘Umbrella’). It’s your classic pop ditty that we love for a number of reasons:
1. It’s classic pop but it’s not cheesy
2. It’s classic pop but it doesn’t simply copy GaGa like a lot of chart pop at the moment
3. It’s classic pop but it still sounds great in a 21st century pop world.
Not too different from Pixie Lott’s recent upbeat singles, and combined with a house-party video reminiscent of the Spice Girls’ ‘Wannabe’ video, ‘Louder’ has HIT written all over it.
‘Louder’ is released March 7th in the UK through Asylum/Atlantic Records, and the album will follow later in the Spring.
