Geordie chocolate-eyes Cheryl Cole’s latest single, a triphop ballad written by Priscilla Renea and Wayne Wilkins, will be aiming for a top spot following the success of previous release “Promise This”.

“The Flood” gives a very different vibe from past hits by Cole that often lean towards a dance-pop/R&B flavour. It shows a more vulnerable side to the stunner instead of the usual theme of strength and independence. Being a far cry from this, the single could show some real appeal beyond the Cole fandom.

“The Flood” is available for purchase/download now. Cole’s two solo number 1s were both written by Wilkins; fingers crossed the success continues!
