OOOOMMMMMFFFFFFGGGGGGGGGGGG is about the only appropriate expression we can use to express the excitement we have for this latest news.
The first posthumous material from Michael Jackson has officially been announced. ‘Breaking News’ will première on Monday 8th November and will feature as the first promotional material from the upcoming album entitled simply ‘Michael’ (which will be released December 13th).
The track was recorded with Eddie Cascio in 2007 in New Jersey and “recently brought to completion.” Here’s the teaser video featuring a short snippet of the song, which sounds rather exciting:
EDIT: The FULL SONG has now been released, and here it is in all it’s typically Michael Jackson-esque GLORY:
And here’s the rather typically extravagant album cover:
It was reported that Jackson was continuously creating music until his death in 2009. The press release writes:
“The creative process never stopped for the King of Pop, who was always planning for his next album; unbeknownst to many fans around the world, Michael Jackson was writing and recording songs continuously everywhere from a friend’s home in New Jersey to studios in Las Vegas and Los Angeles with a small group of handpicked collaborators,”
Fans can begin pre-ordering the album on http://www.michaeljackson.com in the next 24 hours.
The album cover of MICHAEL was created by painter Kadir Nelson in 2009. In the oil painting, Kadir – who is known for story telling through his art – takes us on a journey through some key moments and important people in Michael Jackson’s life.
More news as we get it…
