Today marks the beginning of our new feature, ‘Hidden Gems’, where we will feature unknown album tracks or under-appreciated tracks from pop music’s history that NEED to be more widely appreciated.
This is where you get involved. You must have an track that you simply can’t get enough of, but no one else has ever heard of it. Or simply a song you think needs more appreciation from other like-minded pop music fans. Then tell us, and your song (and a review if you want to write one) could be featured here on Popseeker! Either comment on this, or any subsequent ‘Hidden Gems’ posts, email firstname.lastname@example.org or tweet @popseeker!
Our first ever ‘Hidden Gem’ is from Popseeker’s favourite pop-star, the legendary Miss Britney Spears, with the track ‘The Answer’. Featured on her fourth studio album ‘In The Zone’ as a bonus track for Europe, Japan, Australia & Latin America, the track is strongly influenced by what sounds like Indian bhangra and sounds not too dissimilar from much of Mariah Carey’s recent R&B material (except far, FAR better, of course).
Let us know what you think, comment below, and don’t forget to send us your ‘Hidden Gems’ too!
