Less than a year after the release of her amazing last album, ‘Rated R’, Rihanna is set to release her fifth studio album in the coming months with a lead single in the coming weeks.
It was previously reported that her new single ‘Only Girl (In The World)’ would hit radios August 31st, but that failed to happen. Instead Rihanna tweeted American DJ and American Idol host Ryan Seacrest saying her new single would debut ‘in the next 10 days’.
We can now reveal the single will hit radios on September 14th, and has been described by an insider as “electrifying and explosive”, while the UK radio station Big Top40 said “Get ready for dancey rather than dark”. Her fifth studio album will follow the single with a release date of November 2nd.
Speaking about the new EP, producer and songwriter Sean Garret said:
“The record I gave her was very, very positive, very big. It’s a fucking smash. I gave her a humongous radio record. It’s just so infectious. It’s about getting past any drama and just being happy to be alive. It’s an encouraging record. It feels great and it’s got great tempo.”
