Taio Cruz: ‘Dynamite’

‘Dynamite’ is the latest single from Brit-gone-stateside ‘R&B’ singer Taio Cruz and to be quite frank is pretty much exactly the same as the rest of his stuff, which isn’t necessarily such an awful thing; unlike Scouting For Girls, his other singles have been half-decent so releasing samey stuff isn’t so musically objectionable as it is when Scouting For Girls do it.

The song was written by Cruz along with hitmakers Max Martin, Benny Blanco and Dr. Luke who have all worked together before on Britney’s ‘3’, Katy Perry’s ‘California Gurls’ and Kelly Clarkson’s ‘My Life Would Suck Without You’.  Unfortunately, it’s not quite as spectacularly spectacular as any of those, or anywhere near it in fact, but it’s still a nice little pop ditty and it’s already charted at #3 in the US.
