I really like Pixie Lott, I think she’s a great singer and a great pop star.
I like ‘Mama Do’, I LOVED ‘Boys & Girls’, and the album’s not too shabby either. But her last two singles ‘Cry Me Out’ and ‘Gravity’ were both a bit sort of…meh. Nice songs, but without any real chart energy. They weren’t slow enough to be successful ballards and they weren’t poppy enough to dance along to in a club.
Despite working with HITMASTER of 2009, RedOne, on two album tracks – ‘Here We Go Again’ and ‘Rolling Stone’ (both fantastic songs which would have done pretty darn well chart-wise I reckon), her management has picked another average song to release as a single – that title track of the album ‘Turn It Up’. It’s got a pretty little melody, a mildly energetic introduction but ultimately is an album track, which is where it should have stayed.
This is ‘Turn It Up’, but we advise you go and listed to ‘Here We Go Again‘ instead.
