One of those random foreign songs that sticks

Once every few months, songs from foreign lands in foreign tongues reach our English ears and we get hooked.  I’m thinking ’99 Luftballoons’, ‘Dragostea din tei’ and Avril Lavigne’s ‘Girlfriend’ in Japanese (if you haven’t heard it, click here RIGHT NOW).

Anyway, I recently discovered one – ‘Alors on Danse’ by Belgian hip-hop artist Stromae. OK, so it’s in French, but the beat is pretty sick and you will not get the chorus out of your head all day. The song has topped the charts in Belgium, France, Germany, Switzerland and Austria so far, although there don’t appear to be plans for a UK release apparently, which is a shame. It’s kind of Kid Cudi ‘Day n’ Nite’ meets David Guetta.

Have a listen and lemme know what you guys think. Comment, email popseeker@live.co.uk or tweet @popseeker.
