- This year's MTV Video Music Awards which were held on the 28th August in Los Angeles, and aired in the UK on MTV last night, scored the network its highest ratings since MTV started measuring viewership in 1993. 12.4 million people in the US tuned in to MTV on Sunday night to watch a tribute to Britney, GaGa dressed as a man and Beyonce announce her pregnancy, amongst other highlights.
- The Biebs is apparently recording a Christmas album, all in the name of charity. Taking to twitter, the teen-sensation wrote: "trying to figure out the name of this christmas album. it is special. we are going to raise alot for charity with it. what is a good name?" Could this be bigger than MARIAH??
- Rumour has it Britney Spears herself will take to the stand in a jury trial. FreeBritney.com, a website dedicated to opposing the continued conservationship of the 'I Wanna Go' star claims to possess court documents showing Brit will give her oral deposition on January 15, 2012. This will be followed by a jury trial on April 23, 2012 at 10:00am where Britney will testify. Good luck B!
- Mean Gurl LiLo is set to sue Pitbull for a lyric that offends her. The troubled star claims that the lyric 'I got it locked up like Lindsay Lohan' in the Mexican rapper's song 'Give Me Everything' are "destined to do irreparable harm to the plaintiff" under New York civil rights law. Yeah, cos that's what's damaging your image babes...
- Hypermegastar Cher has confirmed that her duet with Lady GaGa, 'The Greatest Thing', will serve as the lead single from her forthcoming comeback album. The studio album, her 26th, will be her first in a decade since 2001's 'Living Proof' which bombed at #46 on the UK album chart. Producer Mark Bright claimed that Cher has been working on a country-styled sound for the LP.
